I say exploring, because I don't see any real-time application of the technology that will benefit me and don't really understand why they are so wildly popular. The experience you had with Bebo is an example of one of the reasons I don't keep an address book. I keep a folder with an old message from everyone I make contact with so that I have their e-mail address on file without an address book. It eliminates all of the nasties that exploit address books and I still have a highly convenient way of keeping track of contacts. I’m exploring these as well and Bebo’s off the list.
