Our Babylon 5 Connection

August 14th, 2008 by Editor B

Quick quiz: What’s the connection between my beautiful wife and the science fiction television series Babylon 5?

I’ll give you a hint: It’s an object shown in the following two pictures.

Guitar Player

Peacockpit

Spotted it, right? The peacock. Xy inherited that from her grandmother’s antique shop, I think. We’ve displayed it proudly everywhere we’ve lived. It’s not exactly the kind of thing that screams out “spaceship” though, is it? So obviously someone has an unusual flare for set design. And probably a tight budget.

You have Londo Mollari’s peacock? OMG, that’s awesome! (Straczynski was no high-flyer.)

If anyone is interested in a Bab5 marathon, let me know, I have almost all the DVDs.
