FWIW, I have been largely delighted with own-domain Google stuff for email. The only gotcha, for me, is that I forward mike@wxybxrk.com to mwxybxrk@gmail.com, and the Google-hosted wxybxrk.com email won't just nuke the forwarded emails. Thus when the spam bucket hits 2gb, emails get rejected, and I have to scrounge around to find the login to dump the pig entrails and glue fixins. Currently I do this with three domains with no headaches. I worry about Google as infomonad but I heart them bigtime from a services perspective. I hear ya, bruddah.
