I installed pushbuttons in a few spots and used brass switchplates with an <a href="http://www.rejuvenation.com/fixshow5700/templates/selection.phtml?n=v&fin_selected=OB&img=Z010969" rel="nofollow">oil-rubbed bronze finish</a> but original Bakelite is great.
