Kind of run-of-the-mill police drama except it has scenery I have been in and people eat Gumbo. A LOT. I wish they would use the same story telling style of a show like FX's "The Shield" though [tougher/gritter stories, told in archs over a season instead of everything solved in a hour] and maybe a little more like HBO's "The Wire". I would imagine the real police work is more like those two shows here in the city than like say TJ Hooker [w/gumbo]. It was okay. They really seem to be tapping into a number of issues in the city including the appropriation of people's property and Blackwater's being in the city. Of course, if they want to be realistic they're going to have to get into the subject of police corruption. They've got good intentions. But some moments were rather pat; the convenient wrap up at the end of the hour. If they made the show episodic with story lines that extend over the season, it could really be something.
