I think the main purpose of BOTH campaign appearances and Good Morning America tapings is to give people the opportunity to mill around with big signs and banners. It’s a match made in heaven.

Seriously though, since Edwards is campaigning about poverty and the “Two Americas” (of which we seem to be the third), I can’t think of many better forums to call for public servants who will enforce the law on behalf of all the “Americas.”

The timing is intentional. I don’t think the organizers have considered the Secret Service angle, just the potential for publicity.
