Synchronicity

January 13th, 2006 by Editor B

It was stormy this morning. I took a picture out my office window:

Stormy Morning

Then I realized I’d taken an almost identical picture one year ago to the day:

Cold Front

Same story both days too: I knew it was going to rain, so I rode my bike to campus early and beat the deluge.

I hope this does not foretell further recurrent weather patterns in New Orleans.

My boy was walking to school in it. He said he got pretty damn wet. I have a bike here for him but have to get it down there — soon. I hope your last line is right, too.

It was wet also in the central section of the country. We must have had about an inch–more or less–in the last 24 hours in Indianapolis. Now the wind is blowing and the temperatures are falling and we are told to expect some “white stuff” on the ground by morning. I guess winter isn’t over though it seemed like it was when we had 60 degrees just a day or two ago.

I hope I am not stating the obvious, but for me the glaring difference between the 2 photos is the lack of traffic in the picture taken this year.

    Ditto what Andrea said.

Someone sent me an e-mail yesterday pointing out that every time Prince Charles gets married, the pope dies.
